◆アメリカ(サンフランシスコ)・・・1995/9/28〜1996/9/29(1年間)◆
はじめての海外が、1年の語学留学。田舎モノの私がいろんな人と出会い、感動を分かち合えた。ヨセミテ / グランドキャニオン / デスバレーなどなど・・・アメリカは大きいって感じた！ジーパンでスノボーしたのは、今から考えるとありえないなぁ(笑)
いろいろあった1年だけど、貴重な時間を過ごせて本当によかった。(一時帰国2006/1/19〜2/6)
◆香港・・・2000/4/19〜4/22(4日間)◆
留学から帰国後、社会人を経験したりでなかなか海外に行く機会がなかった。・・・というか、あまり興味がなかったのかもしれない。友人に誘われてツアーに参加。別の友人が彼氏(オーストラリア人)と香港旅行していて、自由時間に合流。クラブにも行って、踊りまくった♪
◆シンガポール＆ビンタン島＆ＪＢ・・・2000/10/8〜2000/10/18(11日間)◆
アメリカで知り合ったＹが、シンガポールへ移住。友人とＹに会いに行った。ナイトサファリは楽しかったが、マーライオンはさほど感動なし。ビンタン島＝インドネシア、ＪＢ(ジョホールバール)＝マレーシアだったので、パスポート要。 スタンプいっぱい押してもらったよ。
◆韓国(ソウル)・・・2001/6/29〜7/1(3日間)◆
自由行動のツアーだったけど、ハードになった。夜中に垢すりに行き、ホテルに戻ったのは午前様。メガネが安かったので、３つも買った。
この数年後、日本で冬ソナブームがやってくるとは知るよしもなく・・・。
◆パラオ・・・2002/4/27〜5/2(6日間)◆
９人の団体旅行。JICA青年海外協力隊でパラオで活動してる人に会いに行く。(他の皆は会社の同僚同士。私ははじめて会う人だ) パラオでは、海を満喫！ 体験ダイビングをしたが、シュノーケリングでも十分！ミルキーウェイ / ジェリーフィッシュレイク / ガラツマオの滝などなど、見所たっ〜ぷり♪
◆ハワイ(ホノルル)・・・2002/9/20〜9/25(6日間)◆
ハワイの良いところは、みんなをやさしく迎えてくれる雰囲気にあると思う。ダイアモンド・ヘッド、ワイキキビーチもいいけど、ショッピングも楽しい♪ アウトレットへは、路線バスを使って行った。市民の生活を感じれてよかったな。ABCストアに売ってた、"スパムむすび"は かなりハマった！
今度はレンタカー借りてノースショアや、ネイバーにも行ってみたい。
◆オーストラリア(ケアンズ)・・・2003/2/27〜3/3(5日間)◆
知人が、キャンペーンでこの旅行を当選！
譲ってもらったが、一人分だったので追加料金を支払い二人で旅行してきた。コアラ / キュランダ鉄道 / カジノなど楽しかったが、グレートバリアリーフは船酔いで大変だった。
天候が悪いせいか、海が曇っていた。頑張って潜ったが魚が全然いなくて、世界遺産のイメージが私の中で壊れたよ。。。(涙)
◆カンボジア・・・2004/3/26〜3/30(5日間)◆
現地のガイドさんのおかげで、とっても楽しい旅行になった。
ガイドさんの自己紹介がとっても印象的。 「私はソコンと言います。パソコンのソコンです。」
日本帰国の時、皆がソコンと別れるのを本気で悲しがっていた。
もちろんアンコールワット / アンコール・トム / タ・プローム などの遺跡群に感動したが、人との出会いもとっても素敵だな。
◆中国(海南島)・・・2004/7/22〜7/25(4日間)◆
仕事で海外出張。"東洋のハワイ"と言われている海南島だが、中身はアジア。これからどのように変貌していくか楽しみだ。 ココではじめての射撃体験。銃を撃った時の衝撃は凄かった！
◆ベトナム(ホーチミン)・・・2004/9/25〜9/28(4日間)◆
友人の知り合いがベトナムに住んでおり、おいしいレストランに連れってくれた。注文もしてくれて助かりました〜。 そういえばオーダーメイドでアオザイ作ったけど、 はて!? 今のこのお腹で着こなせるのかしら？？？
◆ニュージーランド(周遊)・・・2004/9/30〜10/12(13日間)◆
ベトナム旅行から帰国し、２日後に出国。(会社辞めたから、時間はたっぷり〜！) ワーホリしてる友人に会いに、北島にあるオークランドへ。ワイトモのツチボタルは、ボートで観賞。とっても幻想的だった。 その後、飛行機でクライストチャーチへ。レンタカー借りてクィーンズタウンへ向け南下。テカポ湖→ミルキーな湖ってあるんだ！ / Mt.クック→壮大な姿にイチコロ！ / ワナカ湖→早朝、湖畔を散歩してみた。妖精が出てきてもおかしくない雰囲気。/ ミルフォードサウンド→南十字星見えた。野生のイルカが泳いでた♪ ニュージーランドって素晴しいぞぉ！
◆シンガポール＆タイ(バンコク)・・・2004/10/25〜11/2(9日間)◆
ニュージーランドから戻って約２週間後に、シンガポールへ。
２度目のシンガポールなので、観光する所はそれほどなかったが、友人Ｙ(シンガポール在住)オススメのレストラン＆屋台でグルメ三昧！ 帰りは、バンコクにストップオーバー。友人Ｙはタイガーエアーでバンコクへ。一緒にタイ旅行を楽しんだ。象さんに乗ったよ〜！
◆台湾(台北)・・・2005/4/1〜4/4(4日間)◆
長い求職中でありながら、台湾へ。九分(九ｲ分)は遠かったけど、雰囲気が良かったな。その他、京劇観賞・夜市・グルメなどいろいろ楽しめた♪ 胃袋がもう一つあればよかったのになぁ〜。

年末年始の旅行。元旦の日に、エアーズロック登頂！
エアーズロックをウルルと呼ぶと知ったのは、このツアーに参加したのがきっかけでした。
◆トルコ(周遊)・・・2006/10/12〜10/19(8日間)◆
こんなにしんどいツアーとは。。。スケジュールがタイトで、時間に追われる感じだった。もっとゆっくり観光したかったが、８日間でこんなに周遊できたのはすごいっ！・・・カッパドキア / トロイ / エフェソス遺跡 / イスタンブール etc ・・・
聖母マリアの家は、いつまでも居たくなる不思議な雰囲気が漂っていた。

いろんな国からの参加者と英語で旅行を楽しみます。
訪れたことのないヨーロッパで、周遊旅行を軽く夢見ていた昨年秋。
ネットで contiki を見つけた時は、ビビッとキタ！
contiki には以下、３つのツアータイプがあり。

人気のコースが豊富に含まれ、一部のコースを除く、年間を通じて出発日が設定されているツアー。コースは3つのタイプに分かれています。
・Britain + Central Europe・・・ロンドン発着およびヨーロッパ周遊タイプ
・Independent Getaways・・・ロンドン発のヨーロッパ短期滞在タイプ
・Regional Tours・・・特定地方を周遊するタイプ
■滞在先
ツーリストクラスのホテル。リゾート地、クルーズなどの宿泊施設を利用。(基本的にタオルなどもホテルに備え付けられています。 )
■食事
日程に明記されている食事のみホテルやレストランにて。朝食はコンチネンタルスタイルが基本。食事が含まれていないときはツアーメイトとローカルミールを楽しむ良い機会です。

ヨーロッパ各地のキャンプ場を利用。2人用テントを2人で利用
■食事
日程に明記されている食事をツアーに同行しているコックが調理します。また、このツアーでは参加者が交代で食品の買出し、配膳、食器洗いなどの簡単は仕事をします。ツアー代金の他にお支払いいただく食費は日程に明記されている食事の代金となります。
■寝袋
必要です。また、タオルなども必ずご持参ください。

Trip Itinerary
Day 1: London to Paris
A warm welcome from your Contiki Crew as we head for the White Cliffs of Dover and the Channel crossing to France. We drive past World War I battlefields to the splendour of Paris. What better way to begin than with an evening tour of the “City of Lights” and a first glimpse of the Eiffel Tower? (D) Hotel
Day 2: Paris
Today’s sightseeing includes some of the most celebrated icons of Europe. Perhaps take the opportunity to visit the Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Arc de Triomphe or the Champs Elysees. Tonight, why not complete your Parisian experience with a French meal and a famous Parisian cabaret? (B) Hotel
Day 3: Paris to Lyon
South from Paris we pass through beautiful countryside and the famous vineyards of the Burgundy Region. We visit Contiki’s own Chateau de Cruix to taste some of the local wine before travelling on to Lyon. Tonight take the opportunity to taste some authentic French cuisine in this gastronomic capital. Day 4: Lyon to Barcelona
Continuing south via the ancient Roman aqueduct of Pont du Gard, we cross the Spanish border to the Mediterranean city of Barcelona. (B,D) Hotel
Day 5: Barcelona
Our included sightseeing tour is a great introduction to this celebrated city. See Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia Cathedral, the 1992 Olympic Complex and the Gothic district. A chance to experience Barcelona’s famed shopping street La Ramblas and discover some of Spain’s specialties. Tonight why not experience the passion of Flamenco dancing? (B) Hotel
Day 6: Barcelona to French Riviera
We return to France and travel through the fabled region of Provence en route to the Mediterranean city of Nice ? the jewel of the French Riviera. (B,D) Hotel
Day 7: French Riviera
Rub shoulders with the rich and famous on the Nice promenade, shop for French fashion or laze the day away on the sun-drenched beaches. Tonight we visit Monaco! Why not join us tonight for an elegant meal, view the Royal Palace and take the opportunity to try your luck at the casinos of Monte Carlo? (B) Hotel
Day 8: French Riviera to Venice
We visit a French perfumery en route to Italy. Time to stoll around Verona, home of Romeo and Juliet before we reach our hotel near fairytale Venice. (B,D) Hotel
Day 9: Venice
A short boat ride takes us into the historical centre of Venice to see St Mark’s Square, the Bridge of Sighs and the Doges’ Palace. Ample time to wander the bustling streets, see the skill required to create local crafts such as Venetian glass and fine lace and visit one of the many amazing museums. Why not treat yourself to a gondola ride and evening meal with your fellow travellers as a perfect end to your Venetian experience? (B) Hotel
Day 10: Venice to Florence
We wind through the Apennine Mountains towards the world-famous region of Tuscany. An afternoon in the spectacular Renaissance city of Florence where our included walking tour will show you the Duomo, Giotto’s belltower, Basilica of Santa Croce & Piazza della Signoria. There’s time to shop for local crafts such as gold, silver and leather before an evening of Tuscan cuisine and local nightlife. (B,D) Hotel
Day 11: Florence to Rome
All roads lead to Rome where our included sightseeing tour is the perfect introduction to the Eternal City. このホテルがバカでかくて驚いたっ！
ここにはcontikiのオフィスがあり。迷いながらもなんとか到着。
しかし８時オープンまで、あと15分ほど待たねばなりません。
するとオールトラリア人のＮがやってきた。
彼は昨日からこのホテルに滞在しており、contikiの同じツアーに参加するとの事。
８時になり、受付でスーツケースの荷物を1ポンドで預かってもらい、いざ観光へ！
･･･そこでオーストラリア人のＮが声をかけてきた。
どうやら観光に一緒に行きたいらしい。
私は今日めっちゃ観光するつもりだったので、大丈夫か？と確認するとOKとのこと。
断る理由もないし、一緒に行く事にしました♪
しかし、久々の英語に困った〜！
なかなか聞き取れず、私の言いたい事も伝わりづらく、自分の英語力のなさを痛感。

もう10年も経つのか･･･と感慨深くなりました。
さて、ロンドン観光はその他もいろいろ〜。

部屋はトリプル。あとの２人もcontiki参加の女の子(オーストラリア人)。
２２歳のＬは同じツアー。もう一人の子は同日出発だが違うcontikiツアー参加の子。
Ｌは明日ストーンヘッジのツアーに行くと聞き、一気に私もその気になった！
彼女は１日ツアーに参加するらしく申込み済。
とりあえず私はついていって、当日参加できるか確認する事に。。。
あぁ、疲れた私はすぐに夢の中へ〜〜。

しかし８時オープンまで、あと15分ほど待たねばなりません。
するとオールトラリア人のＮがやってきた。
彼は昨日からこのホテルに滞在しており、contikiの同じツアーに参加するとの事。
８時になり、受付でスーツケースの荷物を1ポンドで預かってもらい、いざ観光へ！
･･･そこでオーストラリア人のＮが声をかけてきた。
どうやら観光に一緒に行きたいらしい。
私は今日めっちゃ観光するつもりだったので、大丈夫か？と確認するとOKとのこと。
断る理由もないし、一緒に行く事にしました♪
しかし、久々の英語に困った〜！
なかなか聞き取れず、私の言いたい事も伝わりづらく、自分の英語力のなさを痛感。

< Buckingham Palace > を歩いていた時、人だかりを発見。
カメラマンもいて「なんぞや!?」って感じ。
私達もしばらく待ってみると、イギリス王室の方たちらしき人が到着。
あとで知ったんですが 8月31日は、
ダイアナ妃（Princess Diana）没後10年だったのです。
もう10年も経つのか･･･と感慨深くなりました。
さて、ロンドン観光はその他もいろいろ〜。

< British airways London Eye > ･･･などなど、歩きまわりました。
約６時間歩いてたんですよ･･･
私の足はまさに棒。一緒に観光していたＮの大丈夫な姿には参りました。
あともうひとつ、ロンドンは物価が高すぎて参った！
アジア旅行が多かった私はドキドキしながら、£を支払ってたよ。
さてさて、なんとか ROYAL NATIONAL HOTEL(9/2出発のcontikiツアーまで2泊滞在) に到着した時には、体も気持ちも疲労気味。
部屋はトリプル。あとの２人もcontiki参加の女の子(オーストラリア人)。
２２歳のＬは同じツアー。もう一人の子は同日出発だが違うcontikiツアー参加の子。
Ｌは明日ストーンヘッジのツアーに行くと聞き、一気に私もその気になった！
彼女は１日ツアーに参加するらしく申込み済。
とりあえず私はついていって、当日参加できるか確認する事に。。。
あぁ、疲れた私はすぐに夢の中へ〜〜。
